Compliment Club

Compliment Club

We’re really excited to share a new project we’ve been working on—@wearecomplimentclub. So, what is it? It’s a merry band of puppets spreading nice thoughts and good cheer, of course. But really, it’s an idea that came together in the midst of quarantine. We (virtually) got together with a few Chicago-based creators and decided to give back to the local creative arts community.

So, we’ve partnered up with local improv artists to have sassy puppets say nice things about people, either on a Zoom call or in a custom video. Check out the link in our bio to learn more and see for yourself! All proceeds are split 50/50 between the artists behind our puppets and @chicagoartistsrelief. If you haven’t, definitely check out the great work they’re doing.

We’re just kicking this project off, so we’d really appreciate any and all support. Order a video if you know someone that needs some sass in their life, or just follow @wearecomplimentclub and help us spread the word. It seems small, but it means a lot!

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of meeting Valeria Hatcher. Valeria was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2009, and today, she requires a constant supply of oxygen. For her, simply trying to take care of her health is a demanding, 24/7 job.

But Valeria hasn’t let her diagnosis stop her from connecting with—and helping—others.

“Over the years I've gotten myself into about four different support groups. They're lifesavers I think. And that's why I try to encourage everybody to go to a support group because you might learn something, a new trick.”
